About the dog and artist
Rosè was inspired by the many beautiful flowers I see on my walks in Carmel and Pacific Grove so I decided to photograph them and then collage them onto her. Flowers symbolize happiness, renewal, and the beauty of nature, so I wanted to infuse these positive emotions into my Dog of Carmel sculpture this year.
Nicole Cromwell uniquely blends her talents as an artist and former nurse, tapping into the healing power of art. Drawing from her nursing background, she creates acrylic paintings that embody calm and rejuvenation, reflecting the natural world's grace and complexity. Her artwork brings tranquility, inspires creativity, and showcases the impactful role of art in improving wellbeing. Whether through landscapes, seascapes, or abstract florals, Nicole's pieces add beauty, serenity, and positivity to any space.
Her art gallery is located in Carmel-by-the-Sea on Dolores between 5th and 6th. Having experienced the therapeutic benefits of art firsthand, Nicole is passionate about sharing the healing power of creativity with others, helping them find solace and joy through artistic expression and her soothing artworks.
