Government Affairs Committee (GAC)

Welcome

The mission of the Government Affairs Committee (GAC) is to provide a foundation for the Carmel Chamber of Commerce to proactively engage in local, state, and federal government issues, ensuring a favorable and profitable business climate for our Carmel communities.

The Carmel Chamber of Commerce Board and its Directors support balanced perspectives within the GAC. Emphasizing collaboration and a positive approach, the GAC reviews and discusses business-related issues and determines if specific actions are necessary. These actions may include writing letters, speaking on behalf of an issue, or assisting in educating the community about upcoming issues that directly impact the business environment.

By acting on local, state, and federal issues, the Chamber aims to secure a healthy and profitable business climate for its members.

The GAC regularly reports on city and statewide activities and news, helping to educate and inform our members by hosting workshops and forums. Through these efforts, we aim to keep our community well-informed and engaged in matters that influence our local businesses.
