LC2025 Class Project – Improvements to The Carmel Foundation Health & Wellness Center
A Legacy of Health and Heart
Each year, the Leadership Carmel class participates in a community service project that benefits a local nonprofit and leaves a lasting impact on the community. The Class of 2025 has chosen The Carmel Foundation as its community service project, supporting its mission to promote successful aging. This year’s project focuses on improvements to the new Health & Wellness Center, including a Wellness Studio and senior-friendly fitness equipment to enhance mobility, strength, and well-being.
Wellness Studio Improvements
A part of the building will be improved as a Wellness Studio, dedicated to programs that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This space will focus on health and wellness offerings, including:
- Classes – Stretching, balance, yoga, and other movement-based sessions.
- Small Group Sessions – Emotional health support- and discussion- groups.
- Workshops – Health and wellness workshops
Thanks to the generosity of a major donor, the Wellness Studio is fully funded. Now, we invite you to join us in completing this vital project by funding Senior-Friendly Cardio and Strength Equipment—the missing link in a complete, impactful health and wellness program.
Exercise Equipment
Currently, there is no strength or cardio equipment available for members. We are raising funds to purchase:
Three Recumbent Bikes and One Stationary Bike – Providing safe, low-impact cardio workouts to support heart health and joint mobility.
Weight Machines – Designed for safe and effective strength training, helping seniors maintain muscle mass, mobility, and independence.
These improvements will help with expanding their classes and services, The Carmel Foundation is deepening its commitment to helping older adults age successfully by providing accessible opportunities.
